Phits are custom 3D-printed orthotics designed from your actual movement data. Unlike regular insoles (which are generic) or traditional custom orthotics (made from static molds), Phits are created using real-time data from your gait analysis. This means they're designed based on how you actually move, not just how your foot looks when still. Every support zone, stiffness level, and thickness is calculated from your unique walking pattern.

Phits are extremely durable-many patients report their Phits simply don't wear out. They're made using selective laser sintering (SLS) with high-quality materials that maintain their shape and function over time. If the top cover wears down, it can be refurbished. The 3D-printed base is designed to last for years of regular use.

Phits are designed to fit in the majority of shoe types. We offer specific designs for different activities: running shoes, walking shoes, football boots, golf shoes, cycling shoes, ski boots, and even safety work boots. There are also options for narrower everyday footwear. During your consultation, we'll discuss your footwear needs and ensure your Phits are designed accordingly.

After your gait analysis and design consultation, your Phits are 3D-printed and typically ready within 1-2 weeks. The exact timeline depends on the complexity of your design and current production schedule. We'll keep you informed throughout the process.

Most patients find Phits comfortable immediately, though there can be a short adjustment period (usually just a few days) as your feet adapt to the new support. The 3D-printing process allows for precise control over stiffness and cushioning, so we can create orthotics that feel natural from day one. If any adjustments are needed, we can modify the design.

Yes! All Phits can be customized with a 3D-printed engraved name on the rear of the heel cup. This could be your clinic name, your name, or any text you'd like (within reasonable length). It's a nice personal touch that also helps identify your orthotics.

If adjustments are needed, we can modify your Phits design. Top covers can be refurbished or replaced, and design modifications can be made based on your feedback. The beauty of the digital design process is that we can easily adjust and reprint if needed.

Phits are very easy to maintain. Unlike traditional orthotics, they don't absorb moisture, so they can be easily cleaned with soap and water. They're also more hygienic since they don't trap moisture. Simply wipe them clean and let them air dry. Avoid exposing them to extreme heat.
